ACTIVITIES
Department of History organized the various activities in the college regularly. To enhance knowledge in the students. The report of these activities is as follow:
- The department prepares the digital library participating by students. Various websites regarding history subject has been collected in this library. Similarly rare books (download PDF format) also collected in the CDs. Student of History department use these websites, CDs and got the information as he want.
- The coins are the important source of history and they give the information about ancient history. So. The department doing collect the historical coins in participation of students.
- Rare photograph is the rich of history therefore the department of history collect the rare photographs of various personalities, paintings and otheroccasions.
- Our great Political thinker and social reformers is our inspirer personalities. Their handwriting also always to arouse one’s curiosity in mind. So, the department collects the handwriting above personalities.
- The department invites eminent personalities to guide the students on various topics of history.
- Study tour is the important part of history subject, because a lot of information hides in monuments. So the department has organized a study tour every year at historical places such as: Ellora caves, Ajanta caves, Lonar Creator, the fort of Daulatabad, Bibi ka Makabara, Pawanchakki, History museum in (Dr. B. A. M. U. Aurangabad) and Local places Deulgaon Raja, Sindkhed Raja. The information and historical importance told the students about above places.
- Primary sources is importance in history, without resources history cannot be written in short 'No Documents No History.' So, with the participation of the students historical documents and resources are collected in the college library.
- The Research Committee is formed in the college about to create the research culture in the college and research interest among the students. The committee organizes Student’s Research Seminar. In this seminar the student of history participated and present their research papers.
- The Department has prepared a small reference and competitive exam books Library. Students use this library and they are allowed to sit in the Library and refer the books only in college time.
- Dept. of History collects the information of various historical aspects every year from the participation of college students and publishes wall magazine named 'Itihas Mimansa' with the purpose to make the students aware about research and collection of information.
Deulgaon Raja and adjoining area has many historical spots, temples and other monuments, so department has always tried to find out the local history, and complete the research project. Following research project completed by participation of students.1) The Local history of the Pilgrimage - Deulgaon Raja 2) Genealogy of Jadhav dynasty 3) Cultural history of Deulgaon Raja 4) Survey project of Shiv Temple DhotraNandai.
