ACTIVITIES

    The Department of English very frequently organizes the activities under various events to create interest amongst the students in terms of English Language and Literature. To arouse the interest of students in such activities the Department of English forms the ‘LiteraryForum’ in the beginning of the session. The students are the officers bearers in this forum. They are assigned the responsibilities in terms of this forum and they are regularly guided for organizing various curricular and co-curricular activities. It creates a sense of responsibilities amongst the students regarding organization of activities.

The English Literary forum organizes the activities like

Poetry Reading Competition

Preparing Wall Magazine

Elocution Competition

Quiz Competition

Field visit and Study Tour

Besides, the Department has also undertaken the ‘Projects’ with the active participation of the students like

My Dictionary- My World’, a collection of English words to increase their Vocabulary.

A Study of English Language Teachers Teaching at Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools in Deulgaon Raja Tehsil

Grammatical Knowledge of English of Higher Secondary Students in Deulgaon Raja

Creating Posters of the World Famous Poems of English Poets.

The Department has organized-

A ‘State Level Seminar’ on English Language Teaching.

University Level Elocution Competition.

Activities on ‘Digital India

Communication Skills in English’ course at Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma level is also run by the department.

Lectures under Competitive Examination cell.

Guest lecturers of some eminent person for the additional knowledge of students.
